Role Description
The Internal Communications, Learning & Development Manager is accountable for building a strong partnership with leaders of the business to lead the internal communications strategy and program execution. You will design, manage and lead a variety of communications activities that include, but are not limited to: • The Weekly IYUNO Insider Newsletter • Ad Hoc Communications in direct response to the needs of the business and as directed by the Chief People Officer and other members of the Leadership Team • Provide a regular heartbeat of communications around personnel appointments, important company initiatives and Global Human Resources Campaigns • Provide feedback from the company up to the CXO Leadership team to ensure their direct understanding of employee satisfaction and employee engagement at all levels of the organisation • Direct and Develop the Learning & Development Team and strategizing the workflow and priorities across Operations, Global HR, L&D, Internal Communications and Finance • Lead and develop the activities of Iyuno’s Learning & Development Team to ensure they are working cohesively with all stakeholders in developing and executing Iyuno’s Learning programs

- Project Management – He/she will design, build, execute and oversee the management of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that goals and strategies are stated up front, all requirements are fully understood, materials are prepared and distributed on-time and on-budget. Additionally, this person will ensure that all efforts meet high standards in the areas of accuracy, ethics, legal, and compliance.
- Delivery & Operational - Able to provide a strong delivery and leadership with an eye for detail. Ability to influence others to drive improved outcomes for the business
- Relationship Management – He/she will develop and maintain strong partnerships with leadership of their business to build credibility as a trusted partner, advisor and strategic consultant. No “ask” is too big or too small as it relates to the build of the successful business-oriented partnership and development of a successful internal communications program. The individual will also form relationships with those employees within the organization and lead an ongoing dialog regarding the effectiveness of the internal communications program, always testing what is working, what isn’t and opportunities to evolve the program and increase effectiveness.
- Communications - Strong and consistent communications skills with the ability to promote and drive influence in IYUNO. Writing skills: You need excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees/ Speaking skills: You also need strong speaking skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations to staff. Internal communications managers need sensitivity to an organisation’s goals and values and the ability to relay them to employees.
- Creative skills - You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies Digital skills: Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential.

- Help to improve employee satisfaction across the organization
- Weekly IYUNO Newsletter coordination and completion
- Executed work product and efficacy of global communications strategy
- Increase employee engagement with communication tools across the organization (SLACK, Workplace and Gmail/GSuite)
- Establish clear KPIs and processes with L&D workflows to meet 2021 CXO goals and expectations of L&D Department.
Expectations & Outputs
- Strategic Planning - He/she will work with senior leadership to develop a communications program that informs, educates, motivates and engages employees – ultimately increasing understanding and awareness in the execution and achievement of the program’s goals.
- Executive Communications – He/she will build internal executive communications programs as needed in support of their executive-level business leader that outline key organizational messages to be delivered through multiple channels such as leadership memos, employee events, weekly newsletters, Intranet communications, digital signage and more.
- Communications Measurement – He/she will outline measurable goals that can be used to track the effectiveness of internal communications programs. Analysis should be ongoing throughout the lifespan of a program (pre-launch, execution, post-launch) and recommendations provided in real-time on how to continuously improve the efficacy of each program.
- Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form.
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
- Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication
- Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Learning & Development department.
